General Counsel / Partner

Laura Temple was born and raised in Haymarket, Virginia, a small suburb outside of Washington, D.C.  Laura attended Virginia Tech, earning two Bachelors of Arts in Communication and International Studies.  After graduation, Laura moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend the Charles Widger School of Law at Villanova University. 

In 2006, Laura relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined Homesley & Wingo Law Group as an associate in Mooresville.  During her time at the law firm, Laura was able to focus her practice on her passion, real estate.  Laura closed over 2,000 real estate transactions.  Deals ranged from undeveloped land, high end residential, condominium development, as well as multimillion-dollar commercial deals.

In 2014, Laura joined Champion Tire & Wheel, Inc. to serve as general counsel.  Laura handled human resources, contract drafting, and management of an extensive real estate portfolio.  Additionally, Laura oversaw the development and management of over 300,000 square feet of commercial condominium space.  Laura drafted and implemented the necessary legal documentation, including the formation of landowner and condominium associations, relevant declarations, and commercial leases.  Laura served as counsel for at least 10 commercial and residential owners associations, handling day to day to management as well as violations and lien filings.        

In 2022, Laura joined Legacy Pointe Properties to focus on development of self-storage facilities throughout the Charlotte metro area.  Laura oversees the legal framework on the property acquisition and loan documentation. 

Laura and her husband, Doug, live in a historic home in downtown Mooresville with their twin daughters and two cats.  Laura was a past board member of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce.  Laura has served on the board of the Mooresville Friends of the Library for over 15 years.
